Useful Audio Engineering Terms or Recording Terms.

Hello audio masters and beginners,
I hope you had a great week, and I wish it will get even better.

these series of articles that I am about to publish, will deal with terms that are used often in the music world, and give them an easy to understand definitions, so you can use them whenever you need to communicate clearer when you are working with other musicians or technicians whom you just meet.

another HUGE advantage of these terms definitions is that you can look at the list of terms, and recognize immediately which subjects you need to strengthen your knowledge, this is of course besides the fact that you are sharpening your musical vocabulary.

for example :
if you look at the list and see the “haas effect” term, and you don’t know what it means or where it got from, reading about this term in google or everywhere else can grow your knowledge and better if you now know what is the haas effect it is now time to find ways to use it in more creative ways to leverage your production to the next level. it is a great time, for a quality post.

I decided to collect FREE & HIGH QUALITY links to a one Musical Education resource, I must say that I am checking those links carefully to make sure that MUSIC-DM readers are exposed to HIGH QUALITY and of course FREE material.

in this opportunity I should say that I am sorry if I don’t see all the links out there or if I forgot someone.
this list of links will grow with time, when I see something worth recommending, I will put the new link in this list so you all can enjoy it.
if you have any suggestions of anything that you think should be in that list and that everybody here can benefit of, you are more than welcome to submit it, and I will add it to the list. (more…)

after a long time that I couldn’t write anything, I happy to say again, Hello everybody and I ‘m happy to be back.

in this time that I didn’t write here, I was busy with lectures and lessons which made me realize a very disturbing¬†phenomenon.
a lot of the new students that I was teaching and lecturing to use their visual sense to make critical decision about their sound in the studio,
which for me is very disturbing, because the most simple logic says :

Question : which sense is used to percieve music ?

Answer : Hearing

Question : which organ is serving this sense ?

Answer : the EARS.

We percieve music through our ears.

Inspiration for me is a very valuable energy,

I try not to lean on inspiration alone, I also use knowledge and patterns sometimes, but when inspiration knocks on my door I will always open the door and welcome it,

this energy or feeling of being inspired is the first thing I fell in love with when I started making music,

people who can keep that enjoyment in making music are most likely to discover deeper secrets inside the music.

what is the way to make your home studio productions shine ?

of course this is only my way and I am sure a lot of you have your own ways to achieve good productions,

feel free to share those with us..

Some thoughts about a mix…

this is not a mixing tutorial, mixing tutorial will be here soon, for now this is just a way to be ready to mix and to know what to expect.
